TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Important Information
By placing an order with Spencer Becks, you acknowledge that you are in acceptance of these terms and conditions, which form a legally binding contract between yourself (the client) and ourselves (Spencer Becks).
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you can simply return it to Spencer Becks and we will happily refund your card or offer a replacement item. ALL RETURNS MUST BE MADE WITHIN 7 DAYS of receipt in order to qualify for a full refund. Items returned after this time may only be exchanged for items of the same value or a credit note issued. Any special order items cannot be exchanged, this includes all items which are made or coloured to order
All credits will be reimbursed to the card that was charged on purchase. In addition to special order items Spencer Becks will not, in the interests of health and safety, accept returns on personal items such as earrings.
DELIVERY CHARGES
Spencer Becks endeavours to keep postage charges to a minimum. These rates are based on First Class Royal Mail tariffs or Courier, whichever is most cost effective, plus an allowance for packaging and handling. The website will calculate the delivery charge on checkout.
For overseas orders please note that your local customs offices may charge an additional fee/tariff before delivery. Orders returned due to this fee/tariff not being accepted by the buyer will render the item ineligible for refund.
DELIVERY
Postage can be based on first class standard (non-recorded) delivery. If this option is chosen and the shipment is then lost it will be the customers responsibility to make a claim to Royal Mail. Spencer Becks accepts no liability for items lost using this mode of delivery.
Spencer Becks recommend recorded delivery (UK). This system allows for the electronic tracking of all items dispatched. Multiple purchases of items will be delivered in one order and if necessary will be held until all items are available.
Please note that any goods found to be faulty upon receipt will be replaced, however time must be allowed for the returned goods to arrive back to us before replacement goods are dispatched.
If you have an urgent request or need an item delivering by a specific time please email us with the details.
ADDRESS REQUIREMENTS
We will not ship to a PO Box number under any circumstances. It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address given is a deliverable one. If a flat or apartment, the flat number and building number must be clearly stated. An email address is essential so that we can:
a) Confirm your order and expected delivery date
b) Keep in touch with you regarding your order.
LOST ITEMS
Should you choose first class unrecorded delviery Spencer Becks will accept no liability for lost items and it will become the responsibility of the customer to file claim to the Royal Mail.
Once an item has been dispatched and has been delivered and signed for, Spencer Becks cannot be held responsible for those goods. If sent my Royal Mail and your item has not been signed for Royal Mail will not accept that they are lost until 14 days has elapsed from the dispatch date. (This is a Royal Mail ruling over which we have no control). After this point we can make a claim for the lost goods and dispatch new goods to you at that point. When ordering your goods please be aware of these potential problems. We do ship many of our goods by courier and this does help to drastically reduce problems of this nature.
NON-DELIVERABLE ITEMS
If any item fails to be delivered because of a fault given in the address submitted on order, shipping costs will not be reimbursed, and we will not be accountable for late delivery. Re-shipping charges will be charged to the client before the goods are re-dispatched.
CUSTOM/IMPORT DUTIES
Any duties payable are the sole responsibility of the client. Spencer Becks will not pay any fees relating to import tariffs. Refunds will not be issued in circumstances where items are returned due to the refusal of charges by the customer.
RETURNS POLICY
Please check your items carefully on receipt and report any problems to us via email at info@spencerbecks.co.uk Any faults must be reported within seven (7) days of delivery in order to be eligible for refund or replacement. If your goods are faulty we will dispatch replacement goods free of charge as soon as we receive the faulty goods back.
If you are unhappy with your goods for any other reason and would like an exchange or replacement, please return to us within 7 days and we will send out a replacement or refund your card. The cost of returning goods lies with the client, unless faulty, when those goods will be exchanged free of charge.
Upon receipt of the returned items, the delivery charges of faulty goods will be credited to the client’s charge card, and replacement goods dispatched. Please allow 28 days from receipt of returned goods for replacement goods to be reshipped.
Refunds or exchanges will only be authorized for goods returned in their original condition and packing and with all labelling attached. No refunds or exchanges will be given for goods that have been worn, damaged or soiled.
We reserve the right to charge a 15% re-stocking fee for returned items. This is to cover administration charges etc., and will only be used in extenuating circumstances.
Returns cannot be accepted for special orders unless deemed to be faulty. Special orders are items which have been made to order or coloured to order. These are not exchangeable as they have been specifically made to your own specifications and are personal to you. We would not usually be able to re-sell such items.
SALE ITEMS
We will only accept returns on sale items if we are notified within 48 hours of receipt that the goods are unsuitable via email. Whilst we endeavour to be as fair as possible in accepting returns, sale items are sold at greatly reduced prices, which will reflect the possibility of containing flaws. Please ensure that you fully inspect all sale items as soon as reasonably possible on receipt as these items will not be refunded after 7 days from purchase.
HOW TO RETURN AN ITEM
Please re-package your items in the original packaging. Please also enclose a note explaining what the problem is and what action you require from us. Please send your item via recorded delivery only to

We recommend that you return items via a “recorded delivery” so that proof of dispatch and receipt can be obtained. Spencer Becks accepts no responsibility for returned goods lost in transit.
SECURITY POLICY
All information given on this website is held by Paypal and is not divulged to Spencer Becks. All payments are made via the Paypal secure server and are authorised with MasterCard and Visa prior to dispatch of goods. Full payment for goods and postage will be debited from your card upon submission of your order. Any payment suspected to be fraudulent, will be subject to further investigation and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
